-I've been invited by my library to go to the Oregon Mock Prints Festival! They gave me a set of all 10 books to read before January 7th. Piece of Cake!
So here's how the festival works! There's an award called the Printz award (spelled correctly!) and, like many awards for books, people like to get together and choose which book should win if it could! So a festival was created!
The Oregon Mock Printz has chosen these 10 books as contenders for the award:
-Chime by Franny Billingsley
-Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma
-Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol
-Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
-Dead End in Norvelt by Jack Gantos
-Blink & Caution by Tim Wynne-Jones
-A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
-Between Shades Of Gray by Ruta Sepetys
-The Berlin Boxing Club by Robert Sharenow
-Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey
My Thoughts: I'm excited for Imaginary Girls, Blink and Caution, and Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I'm nervous for The Berlin Boxing Club, and A Monster Calls, even though that book has a cute story behind it.
So Far, I'm buried in Library books so I can't start yet. Most people would be like "I need more time!!!". For me, I have too much time! 62 days is a lot for just 10 books. This just proves my bookaholic-ness.
