About Me!
Welp, I lost the dyed hair! I still like to highlight, however!
Anywho, I'm Alexei, and I'm a college student in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I'm majoring in Chemistry and spending my time promoting science and reading for teens. I'm a busy volunteer, advocating for the youth in my community and supporting non-profits. I like to think I've calmed down, but I'll probably still be super hyper with my reviews!
While I am aging out of the teenage demographic, I think I will still love young adult fiction forever. My favorite authors haven't changed, nor has my tastes in genres.
When it comes to the ebook debate, I have to say I've switched over to the ebook side, only because I can carry over 200 books in a device weighing only a few ounces. Its the portability that has me sold on my trusty Nook... but I still have a bookcase that may topple over someday. I think the ebooks also help with reviewing self-publishing authors that are on the rise.
I do have a busy life, but my Library Insider wanted me to restart this, so here I go! I hope you keep coming by!
By the by, I dyed my hair a silvery blue after the pink, then bleached it to a strawberry pink and let it grow out! Just in case you were curious ;)

About Me! (Old)
Yes, I have dyed hair! ITS EPIC!!!
Anyway, I go by Alexei, because I like the name. I'm 15 years old and I go to a horrible, public high school, and I'm thinking of switching to home schooling. I speak basic, broken French right now and I want to major in Psychology and minor in either physics or librarian tech. I am a bookaholic and have been since I started reading street signs at 2-3 years old. I'm addicted to dark, realistic fiction, and books on mental illness (I love to skim the DSM-IV-TR in my spare time and can't wait until the DSM-V !!!). I practically live at my local library (horrible term, local library! I blame the show Arthur.) and I've befriended many librarians and can get just about any book from them at my request!
I have a 2011 book goal of 150 books, and at this time, it looks like I'll exceed the goal by about 10 books. I am a member of goodreads.com (GO JOIN!!!) and I oppose Facebook. I am a Team Zero of Twilight (because no self respecting vampire f*cking SPARKES!!!), and I'm not into the Hunger Games. I bow for Ellen Hopkins and I love Rick Riordan. I love Lady Gaga, and hate Bieber. I'm saying this so that you know where I stand on these issues. I hope you'll keep coming by!
